Tips for Optimal Storage:

  • Shaking it Up: To address the settling issue, simply store your leftover matcha in a sealed, airtight container (jar, tumbler, etc.) in the refrigerator. Before enjoying it the next day, give it a good shake to redistribute the settled matcha particles for a more consistent flavor and color.

  • Minimize Air and Light Exposure: Matcha is sensitive to air and light, which can accelerate the loss of freshness and flavor. Choose an airtight container made of ceramic or tin for better protection.

Storing matcha overnight is perfectly fine, but shaking it up before drinking helps ensure you get the full flavor and vibrant color. Just keep in ind this will change the potency or matcha and the flavor will change just a tad bit.
